Maura Calliera

Holding a degree in Agricultural sciences from the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy), after several post-graduate grants with Università degli Studi di Milano and Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, in 2004, she started to collaborate with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Piacenza, Italy). During her educational development and professional path, she had the chance to take part in several multidisciplinary projects at the EU level (especially EU FP6, EU FP7, H2020, ERASMUS+) and national level, dealing with pesticide risk evaluation and agro-food chain sustainability. Involved in the development and planning of the academic Think Tank/Research Centre on Sustainable Agriculture OPERA, since its creation in 2010 to now, she is in charge as a senior scientist of the development of a structured stakeholder consultation process in a multiple-perspective approach that combines traditional knowledge, experience of different local stakeholders, scientific expertise, and context-specific data. This included the organization and facilitation of international conferences and workshops, the design and implementation of focus groups and surveys, and policy paper writing activities.
