Best Oral presentation Award

 

The winning authors will receive the following awards:

 

1st best oral 800 euro

2nd best oral 480 euro

3rd best oral 320 euro

 

 

Evaluation commission

The commission will be formed by 5 members: Tito Caffi – chair session, Gabriella Fait – expert, Rafael Munoz-Carpena – chair session; Marc Voltz – chair session, Jean-Lou Dorne – chair session.

 

Evaluation Methodology and Criteria

Each member of the commission will evaluate only the oral presentations given in his section, scoring them individually on a scale of 1-10, based on the following two weighted themes:

Content 70%:

  • Clear research question/hypothesis;
  • Method/methodology clearly explained;
  • Study results/conclusions are clear;
  • Novel and relevant scientific content.

Talk/Layout 30%:

  • Voice loud (enough) and clear;
  • Talk progresses smoothly from one viewgraph to the next;
  • Graphics are explained adequately, no rambling;
  • Talk finishes on time;
  • Questions answered succinctly and effectively.
  • Structured layout;
  • Bibliography is available (though not necessarily displayed on the poster).

The final score will be an average of each member’s individual score. The award is open to all oral presentations given at the event, all of the materials being eligible and will be given equal consideration for the award.
