This edition of the Symposium in Pesticide Chemistry is a scientific cocktail of events that aims to bring together groups, consortia and individual scientists dealing with pesticides risk assessment and management. Indeed, the XVI Symposium in Pesticide Chemistry starts with “FOCUS version control stakeholder Workshop “organised by FOCUS DG SANTE Version Control Group held on September 2 (14:30-18:30), and ends with the Workshop “Drinking water management & farming – building blocks for a long-term collaboration strategy”, organised within the H2020 Project WATERPROTECT, held on September 5 (14:30-18:00).
On September 3, Dr. Richard Maycock, a scientist with a vast experience in the sector of pesticide science and near to retirement, will open the XVI Symposium on Pesticide Chemistry with a lecture on “Historical, current & future perspectives in pesticide science”. With this lecture, Dr. Maycock aims to introduce young scientists in the world of pesticide science, but also to provide to senior scientists his vision about the challenges and the future of this field.
